TEXT

The house is located on the edge of an ancient eucalyptus mountain near the Paraná River that has recently been used for residential use. The overlap between the spatial logics of an old afforestation and contemporary residential demands define the main challenge facing the project. The analysis of the existing afforestation in the terrain determines an area in which to locate the house from a close relationship between its geometry and the trees. The project strategy has consisted of fragmenting the program into orthogonal volumes of smaller size and more private uses that are positioned at different angles and leave in the center a large irregular and high-rise area that is the spatial and social heart of the house. A gable roof defines the upper profile of the volume that is taking different heights as the geometries of the walls and ceilings intersect. The highest point of the ridge is located above the seating and defines the interior height of the main room. For the exterior of the house a black plaster has been used that integrates with the darkness of the forest. Inside the white walls generate views and oblique and unexpected perspectives. The ceiling is also white, tall and bright. Entering the house is like finding a clearing in the forest, finding the sky inside again.
