The vertical extrusion of a small 8 × 9 meter lot with a north orientation defines the building’s volume. Based on an interior longitudinal division into two equal bays, seven units are organized in stacked levels. The plan and section are optimized in relation to each other, and each bay is shifted half a level vertically to use the stair landings as access to the units. The character and size of the living spaces allow for their use either as minimal housing or as a workspace, each equipped with two large windows: one for diffused light from the party walls, and another for light and ventilation at the front. The exterior skin consists of bricks cut in half, exposing the inner texture of the brick outward and revealing its internal composition. This gives the volume an expressive range of colors between orange, black, and red, along with a rough texture that is both strange and familiar. On the terrace, the walls rise to define an open-to-the-sky space where a rooftop garden restores the plant species that originally grew on this piece of land.

Located in an area where building density is increasing, the structure occupies a small 8 × 9 meter north-facing lot. The need to optimize space within current urban regulations determines a configuration of two equal longitudinal bays, organizing seven units arranged on stacked levels. The plan and section are optimized in relation to each other, and each bay is shifted half a level vertically to use stair landings as access to the units. The character and size of the living spaces allow for use either as a workspace or minimal housing, each equipped with two large windows: one for diffused light from the party walls and another for light and ventilation at the front. The exterior skin consists of bricks cut in half, exposing the inner texture of the brick outward to reveal its internal composition. This gives the volume an expressive palette of orange, black, and red tones, and a rough, imperfect texture that is at once strange and familiar. On the terrace, the walls rise to define an open space to the sky where a landscaped rooftop recovers plant species native to the region.
